Cazimi — the Arabic word for “in the heart of the sun.”

Cazimi refers to a planet that is within a very close conjunction with the Sun, specifically within a tight orb (usually around 17 minutes of arc). This close proximity is considered a moment of great strength and empowerment for the planet, purifying its energies and amplifying its influence. Essentially, the planet is considered to be “in the heart” of the Sun, and this placement is seen as auspicious, potentially bringing positive outcomes.

In astrology, a cazimi event is a cosmic lottery ticket. I love that, don’t you?!

About Cazimi Modern Tarot

My Tarot philosophy and practice is aimed at helping to guide you to heightened intuition and exploration of new ideas — I want you to dream big, walk tall, speak boldly, and sleep soundly after we work together.

I began my own Tarot journey some years ago after I picked up a set of cards that had been gifted to me and began to look at the images almost like they were miniature paintings (sidebar: they are!). Feeling deeply drawn to the legend of Tarot and the historic figures who studied it (from Napoleon to Carl Jung), I found that as I went deeper into my studies, my own everyday life practices got, well, BETTER. I was more clear-headed, more relaxed, more confident in my decisions, more bold in my aspirations, more calm when life got challenging.

After reading exclusively for myself and others in my close circle, and with the enthusiastic encouragement of one of my teachers, I expanded my circle and began to read for “strangers.” As expected, I found this work to be intriguing and grounding for me and the people who sat with me in front of the cards. Today, I’m delighted that so many of these former strangers have become regular clients of mine. My testimonials joyfully speak for themselves!
